Also, while I'm here, I've been updating Honda chassis codes, especially Civics, because it's a bit of a mess.
For instance, many of the fourth gen. Civic have been entered with an EF code, but that was only applied on JDM models. Export versions had different codes, EC, ED, sometimes EE too.
So if you see various Civics with codes such as ED6, EG8 or EH2, don't worry, that's from me. And I've found reference to support that.

It doesn't really make sense just listing the 2007 facelift 70-series as J76/J78/J79, but the pre-facelift as J70. As I mentioned, the new codes were adopted in the late 1999 (MY2000) facelift, not in the 2007 facelift. Anyway, if we want to be very technical, the pre-2000 models were not all known as J70 either. The models that became J78/J79 were actually both J75. There was also J70 (2-door short wheelbase), J73 (2-door medium wheelbase), and J77 (4-door wagon - predecessor to J76, and not sold in Australia).

The VW Polo 6N2 was introduced September/October 1999, so they should be 2000 MY:

And I guess all those model year structures will be bent a bit once a plate check site gives the exact day, month and year of registration for an entry or another.

So what are we going to do about the 70 series Land Cruisers? At the moment, we have some as J70, while others are listed as J76/78/79. There are 2 options:
1) We keep everything as J70, so all the others will have to be changed.
2) We change everything to the exact codes, so that means J70/73/75/76/77/78/79 depending on the variant.
Which one?

I'm in favor of the second solution, obviously. I've spent a lot of time adding detailed Toyota chassis codes, and I'd hate it if they were wiped out (as it already happened last year for some of them).

A little request : adding DN as general chassis code for the Suzuki APV (and APV Arena).

This is not a mass change, if it concerns only one vehicle; should have been posted on the "Non-Unidentified Vehicles" thread

Question: for the generations of Dacia, wouldn't be better 'Ph' like their parents Renault, instead of 'Series'?

Good point. And I have a similar request for Isuzu Troopers and Bighorns. Because they all share an UBS chassis code, and datation is a bit of a mess, I've begun to add a 1 or a 2 in the "Mk" field. But the displayed result isn't the same. For the Bighorns, it's Series I or II, while for the Trooper, it's just I or II.
Can the Troopers have a "Series" mark too ?

Which Renault has that?
Can the Troopers have a "Series" mark too ?
"Series" is the default text when no behavior is defined for a make/model, displayed only on the vehicle page and not in the gallery view.
There is a special case for the Trooper, I guess it was requested at some point. Shall I just remove that?
(with that, the number of the Trooper was always visible, not just on the vehicle page)
