Is there any reason why first generation VW Jettas are listed as "Typ 17"?

They were "Typ 16" for as long as I can remember. I mean I know they are based on the Typ 17 Golf but they had their own code.

Same question for the Karmann-built Beetle Cabriolet/Convertibles which were "Typ 15"?

Back then we simplified the codes of the VWs when we introduced that field on the site, but if needed maybe we could change to make the closer to reality

How about.. adding Autotutto to these so they're lumped together with the other Romeo Autotutto's (it was the official name anyway)

I also added the T10 chassis code to those which didn't yet have it

A small "mass" change
These should be 1938 110 AF TIBB Machi instead of simply "Trolley-bus". Last time I went with what was 'established' by previous posters but they should get their proper model type I think.

OK
For the one switched to Diesel I wonder if we should still list it as trolley-bus or not :figti:

I guess not? Same as a converted convertible that used to be a coupe, 'class' should point to what it is now or to how it came out of the factory first time..?

Hello again

Superfluous info to delete? Alternatively add this to all the rest

California's
www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=245192 -they all are Coupé Cabriolet..
www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=1277307 -they all are 4.3
www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=837229 -they all are [F149] pre-T at least (I suggest we don't need type codes for Ferraris anyway as they all have different model names -even by just a 'T' or a 't' or an 'M' etc so no confusion to whats what like e.g in a Porsche)
www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=666255 -except three cars on special order, they all are DCT (or DTC even..). Certainly put 6-speed manual info in there if we ever find one of those 3...
www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=1008071 -see above
www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=989498 -see above
www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=548353 -no change here, this we can keep!

250 GTE's
Similarly for the 250 GTE, 2+2 not used for this model (even if it is true)

When I was checking for this bus, I've noticed that the bus was listed as both "BX-series" and just "BX", unless the specific model could be identified. Shouldn't the default name for vehicles like this be standardized as one or the other?

Same for BU/BU-Series and TD/TD-Series
Which one is better here, with or without "-Series" ?

Hi, some Hyundai chassis codes to add:

All Trajet and Trajet XG have chassis code [FO]
All 1986-91 Grandeur are [L], all 1992-97 are [LX]
All 1998-2004 Grandeur and Grandeur XG are [XG]

Technically, [XG] should be applied also to US/CDN XG 300/350 and EU XG/XG 30, but maybe would be a bit redundant? None of these has the code currently from a quick look and anyway searching for XG would include those ones

And not the same change for the G1?

Also, for the replicas, they would become "BearCat G3 Replica", I suppose, if we move the G3 to the model name of the others.

And about this one, which generation? http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=1529454

And not the same change for the G1?

For the G1, it’s complicated because when they released it, the model was "BearCat" because there was only one generation. But I just saw that they renamed them "BearCat G1".
https://www.lencoarmor.com/showroom/
I will be of the opinion to leave the model "BearCat" and leave the chassis code "G1" to clearly indicate the generation.

Also, for the replicas, they would become "BearCat G3 Replica", I suppose, if we move the G3 to the model name of the others.

For the "BearCat Replica" some are inspired by the third generation "G3" but others are inspired by the bodyshell and do not even have an assigned generation so for me have the leashes without generation.

This is "BearCat G3".

I think the Nissan Xterra should have US origin. It was designed here in the states. Also, the Iran clones have US origin.

due in part to its functional design, shared platform and its U.S.-based design, engineering and assembly. Xterra is built at Nissan Motor Manufacturing Corporation U.S.A., Nissan’s award-winning Smyrna, Tenn.-based facility.
