I had this Astro (and 1980s) feeling at first too, but I think that the "Astro effect" is due to the 2-tone painting.

It has in fact the same doors, door handles, side moldings, wheel arches and fuel filler trap as the T5. The front face differs indeed, but one must really attention to see it, as it involves just the hood grooves and a "windshield to bumper side drawing" which has a different pattern (see the "line" that runs from windshield to headlamps, and then to the wheel arch):

The rear part is maybe the most visually different, with more sharp design on overall lines already used by the T5:
