This is why I removed the windshield mirror, often too distracting. The side mirrors are enough to check behind. (Illegal though.)
For some seconds i looked into the rear mirror to check if i am clear to get in my lane again after overtaking the bus. Everything was okay, but when i looked to the front again, the blue van in front came to a complete halt. It was already too late
