We have the same type of plates for everything from cars, trailers, mopeds to snowmobiles. It eats lots of combinations I'd guess. Do you have the same system for all type of vehicles?
Yes, previously they just reserved some of the sequences for some categories (Mxx & Wxx for bikes, Qxx & Uxx for trailers, TXx for taxis, Zxx for resellers, etc.)
Only temporary plates had a separate system.
But they were not re-using plates except when the owner transferred his plate to his new vehicle, so when they reached the end they had to use another numbering system.
