Now, to move on to the Silverado and Sierra pickup trucks.
2007:First year for the all-new Silverado and Sierra. Not to be confused with the [GMT800] based Silverado/Sierra Classic.
Available in four trim levels, W/T, LS, LT and LTZ the new Silverado is also available in three cab sizes, Regular Cab, Extended Cab and Crew Cab.
Silverado 1500 Regular Cab W/T in Victory Red [GMT901].
Silverado 1500 Crew Cab LT with the optional Z71 package [GMT901].

Silverado 1500 Crew Cab LTZ [GMT901].
Note the addition air inlet on this specific model, this was only offered on the VortecMax package. The VortecMax package included the 6.0-liter 345 horsepower Vortec V8 engine and heavier duty transmission cooling. It also included a door badge seen below. Another way to spot these models is the exhaust, which exits straight out the back vs. the curved exhaust that exits behind the rear tire on all other Silverados and Sierras.

Sierra SL name is changed to Work Truck, and a new SL Crew Cab trim is offered, similar to Chevrolet LS.

New All-Terrain package offered for 1500 Extended & Crew Cab SLE and SLT models. Note the unique grille, wheels and fender badging.
No major changes for Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD models.
2009:
Additional bumper air inlet now standard on all Silverado and Sierra 1500 models.
VortecMax package deleted, 6.2-liter 403 horsepower Vortec V8 now optional on LT and LTZ models.
New Z71 Appearance Package optional on 1500 Extended Cab and Crew Cab LT and LTZ models. Features painted grille, bumpers, door handles and mirrors as well as a unique Z71 boxside decal.

New Silverado and Sierra Hybrid debuts for 2009. Only available as a Crew Cab.
XFE (Xtra Fuel Economy[/i] package debuts on Silverado 1500 Crew Cab LT 2WD and Sierra 1500 Crew Cab SLE 2WD equipped with the 5.3-liter Vortec V8 engine. Features low rolling resistance tires, a tonneau cover for the truck bed and XFE badges.
Texas Edition models receive new chrome trim on moldings, door handles and mirrors, as well as new wheels.
The 6.2-liter Vortec V8 in the Sierra Denali receives flex-fuel capability and tailgate badge.
No major changes for Silverado and Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD.
2010:
GM Mark of Excellence badge deleted from front doors on all models. Flex-fuel badge changes from yellow to green.
No other major changes for 2010.
2011:
Sierra 1500 All-Terrain now offers body-color grille option.
Silverado and Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD models receive major updates including a stronger frame, new wheel choices, new front bumper, grille and hood as well as a revised trailer hitch on the rear bumper. Sierra models lose their Duramax diesel badge on the door, as the engine badging moves to the hood like Chevrolet. '

2011 is the first year the luxury Denali trim is available on Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD.
