Placing this here in case someone wonders why a change occurred. Opel Campo debuted in 1991 as a 1992 models based on VINS.
The face lift occurred in May of 1997 and would be considered a 1998 model.
Opel uses GMs styling with regard to VINs and the 10th digit is regarded as the MY for these trucks.
Here is a great write up to manually decode the VIN. It is not perfect but it definitely provides plenty of information.
