The first one is an early Mercury Tracer, based off the Mazda 323 [BF] with the Australian Ford Laser body.
27/11/2016 @ 01:49:52: Baube: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
It was 1987-1988 survivor day here today with those two examples
I saw both before but never had the chance for a pic
the Grand Am was seen last week but my light turned green
the Shadow played a longer hide-and-seek game with my camera.. got ya little Dodge

YES I got a rare find!
Nice finds.....even here in (mostly) rust-free Southern California, you almost never see Dodge/Plymouth cars from the 80s. There is one Plymouth Reliant K/Dodge Aries K sedan near here, though....
Chevrolet C/K-Series?
Mercedes-Benz unknown
Mercedes-Benz unknown coupe
1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme (four door)?
Oldsmobile Silhouette (I never see these...)
27/11/2016 @ 15:47:44: Baube: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
funny that you mention K cars because there was one across the boulevard where i took the Shadow's pic. There is a good chance it is the same i previously posted ( same grocery store as the Shadow and its not like there was dozens of them...

) . I did not took a pic because of zoom problems with my camera..
just checked with Google Earth and yep, the Reliant is the same
28/11/2016 @ 12:22:44: Reg1992: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
I like the boxyness of K-cars.
1994 Buick Roadmaster (not sure if I already posted this one or not)
1970 Ford Mustang?

So the Shadow was available with small sealed beam headlights ? I thought only the Euro-spec Chrysler ES had them, and the US-spec cars had flush headlights.
28/11/2016 @ 17:30:07: Baube: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
Flush headlights came with the 1989 facelift

I'll work on grabbing the Toyota Sera images later on, but for now, here's me during my tween years in the driver's seat of a Triumph TR7 at a late-1970's New York International Auto Show.

1967-72 model indeed. Apparently a 2WD truck, with a 1969+ hood and fender emblem. This latter says
10, which sounds logical for a short box model: at least a 1969-72 "short"
C-10.

Nice to see you, Ddey65

195? unknown (didn't get a good look at it for long enough)
unknown
1991-94 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer
02/12/2016 @ 07:16:41: Baube: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
unknown make me think of a Rambler .... but i'm not really sure of it

Thanks, although now I've got fewer freckles, more gray hair, and I'm pretty sure my head would hit the roof on that thing.

unknown make me think of a Rambler .... but i'm not really sure of it
Wish I had gotten a better look/view of it...
Caught these all on a single 30-minute drive yesterday:
1979-81 Toyota Truck
70s(?) Chevrolet Corvette
1989-92 Toyota Cressida?
Dodge Ram Van
Chevrolet El Camino
Cadillac deVille
another one
some fancy thing
unknown (behind the Miata)
Mercedes-Benz unknown Wagon
early 80s Mazda RX-7? (also an old truck on the right)
unknown pickup on the left
some weird Volkswagen van...
04/12/2016 @ 02:21:29: Baube: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
fancy thing : BMW i8
the Miata's travelling partner has an unusual roof shape.. some
Mercury ?
RX-7 is one of its competitors, mid to late 80's Nissan 300ZX Turbo ( more easier to see when the rear is shown..

)
weird VW van is Eurovan
not sure about the MY range for the Cressida because of the pic's size ( or i'm getting too old..

)
edit for the 300ZX : after a little google run, mid 80's is more plausible

Keep them coming! I love reading your posts.
05/12/2016 @ 06:46:33: night cub: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
The Cressida is from the 1985-88 generation.
The old black car looks like a Mercury with the Breezeway roofline.
The Mercedes wagon is a 300TD, the only W123 version they imported.

[...] 70s(?) Chevrolet Corvette
The horizontal "egg-crate" fender louver makes it a
1970-72 model.

You are not the only person who has some graying hair as well
