9-7x had an odd selection of destinations - apparently only US, Canada, Mexico, Sweden, Chile, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Netherlands.

Here I had to lough - BILTEMA was, when he had old clunkers, the most favourite dealership of my Swedish fellow, that much, that he even got BILTEMA-T-Shirts by his friends at his birthday

It's an import. The added rear foglight is a clue. And the plate check site confirms it : 2006 car, imported in 2007 in Sweden.

Koldioxidutsläpp, CO2 : 363 g/km :bigeyes2125:

:kiki: Is Belgium becoming that paranoid-hysterical about this topic as already Germany did? :kiki:

Was there to buy a new exhaust pipe, as you can see in the picture with the two Volvos my 240 had the exhaust tied up with a strap to keep it from dragging on the road. The exhaust was patched and welded a couple of times and on the Norway trip this Tuesday it was finito.

It's not new. The CO2 emissions have become inevitable since a good decade now. I remember, back in 2009, I was really close to buy a new Subaru Legacy wagon. The basic 2.0R version, with an automatic gearbox, because I was bored of manuals. But the CO2 emissions jumped from ca. 177 grams (manual) to ca. 205 grams (automatic), and IIRC that meant an extra tax bracket to pay.

Plus the gearbox was only an old 4-speed. So didn't buy the car. And six months later, the new Legacy was launched, and it had become incredibly ugly. And it came with a CVT. So I regretted my choice for a while.

These days, the flemish region has changed its yearly road tax system. It's now based on CO2 emissions, fuel type and Euro certification. Wallonia and Brussels still use the old system based on engine capacity and horsepower, but they'll probably change it sooner or later.

Nice car, I think it's a Bel Air with the front fender from an Impala by the holes for the trim.

When I was in my front yard earlier this afternoon, a light blue 1986-87 Honda Civic drove past. Surprisingly it was in good condition, minus a couple spots where clearcoat was pealing.

seen today : a 1960's Ford convertible ( it had Futura written on the back in a similar way as the Falcon ) , sadly no pic ( which is infortunate because with Montréal skyscrapers in background it could have turn good ) , i was in a hurry when i went inside the building and it was gone when i came out
1988-1990 Ford Escort : no pic because a RAM kept hiding most of it

I just discovered that there are holes at the rocker panel and I also discovered that the 1964 Chevrolet Bel Air have them

Thank you.

The Ford badge was in the top left corner (left side of this picture). Does that mean something or do i just have a bad memory? Because i am not so sure about it.

Well, it's been a while since I contributed to this thread. I had an eventful summer. I'll have to share some vacation photos later, but today I'll start with my dashcam sightings.

1998-1999 Hyundai Accent sedan on Interstate 70 in Maryland. The car isn't noteworthy by itself, but it is for how it was being used. He was setting the pace on the interstate, window down, cigarette in hand. I didn't think these cars could do 90 MPH when they were new.

August 5, drove to the beach in North Carolina. Not far from home I caught this Eunos Cosmo, a luxury coupe made by Mazda in the early '90s and sold only in Japan; now old enough to legally import to the USA.

August 12, I drove back home. In Chesapeake, VA, I caught this Nissan Skyline [R32], another JDM car now legal to import

August 12 was terrible weather for traveling; I came within an inch of rear-ending a boat on a trailer. This Mustang was less lucky and got rear-ended by an F-150.

I drove to South Carolina with my sister and her boyfriend to watch the total solar eclipse on August 21. Anyone know what a trailer like this would be used for? It looks like a prop from a Jurassic Park movie.

In the dead of night we were passed by a convoy of five police cars escorting an armored transport. It looked like that movie cliche where they're transporting a highly dangerous criminal or gold bars or something.

Rare Bering HDMX. Bering Truck imported Hyundai trucks and sold them in the USA 1999-2001; there's only 1 on the site and it's a lightweight LD model (plus 1 more LD visible but not listed).

One of my neighbors drives a Hummer the same color as that BMW. I think the husband works in the custom auto biz. He's had several jacked up Honda Civics, but currently drives a tricked out Acura TSX.

Yesterday I saw quite a few old GM vehicles:

1968 or 1969 Buick Skylark
1984-88 Pontiac Fiero GT
1965 Chevy II Sedan (looked at pictures to get the year)
1991-96 Buick Park Avenue
1967 Chevy Camaro Convertible (had a window sticker from a car show that said '67)

Other relatively interesting vehicles I saw yesterday were a Datsun 510, a 1988-1990 BMW 3 Cabrio and a 2002-2004 Chrysler Concorde.

Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. I know this because it has an E-Plate which is exclusive for electric cars in Germany. The driver used it for shopping.

Btw, it was a Porsche factory car. It said so underneath the plate and it had a plate from Stuttgart.
