Just another reason why drinking is silly (in my opinion) Some people just can’t handle it and are irresponsible. He could have very well killed someone. Thank goodness he didn’t. I hope they lock him up for quite a while.

It's humorous, thanks I shared it on my Facebook page. The Rolls-Royce does look almost undamaged. Can't say the same for the women in the hospital.

But the Emily brokes off...

Let's hope, that the driver will never have the chance again, to sit behind his Rolls-steering-wheel or any other steering wheel (except from a Bobbycar).

I'm sure the women will be fine, when these newspapers mention "injuries" it always sounds more dramatic than it really is (and it said "minor injuries").

I have to admit I found this rather funny (but if someone had been run over I wouldn't have), somehow it being a Rolls made it funnier than if it had been an ordinary car. One of the bystanders even expressed sorrow for it:
"From what I could see it looked like a very nice car. He must have been very upset to think this was a good idea." :ddr555:

But it hardly looks damaged at all does it? Those things must be like tanks.

Well, the small brick structure the store windows were apart of is rather low (you could step right over it if the window wasn’t there to block you – and ironically the window isn’t there anymore) The upper front end of the car went through the plate glass window (no biggie there) the car’s lower bumper valance came in contact with the brick wall and took the brunt of the hit. Note as the car is towed away the lower end of the bumper is pushed back, twisted, one fog lamp is shattered and the other knocked from its housing and just dangling.

Damage is minor, and should be easily repairable.

What is the exact model and year by the way?

I know Neptune, but it also demolished a checkout or two, (perhaps they're actually flimsier than they look). But a Rolls like that has got to be a pretty robust car, for one thing it weighs 2 1/4 tons.

And 93-montero, one of the other papers said it was a 1983 Silver Spirit, worth £12,000 (the plate isn't blanked out in some of the papers, it is an A-prefix registration).

Same question for the yellow Plymouth that I posted above, I am curious
22/05/2009 @ 20:06:19: taxiguy: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
It's a 1976-80 Volare coupe

Thanks

Here are two screenshots from an adventure/puzzle game I'm playing called Secret Files 2 Puritas Cordis (sequel to Secret Files Tunguska). It came out early this month, I bought it on Ebay and it was sent from the UK (It hasn't been released in the United States). When I've beaten the game I'll add the pictures to IGCD I think.

This looks like a Nissan Patrol but I'm not sure about the smaller convertible (Citroën?)

A Citroën of some kind? They were trying to make it look like one I think.

indeed, the convertible is a (non-factory) Citroën DS, and the van is a Citroën Type H.

Funny, they're nicely done they do not seem to be that generic, the Patrol is a GR

Thanks for the help! She says "Très Chic" when you click on the Nissan Patrol.

Found by a friend in Knokke, Belgium coast:

According to DVLA it is a 1986 Rolls-Royce 5-door hatchback

Oh my... it's a wagon...
26/05/2009 @ 00:58:06: Animatronixx: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
Yes, there were several of these 'Estates' or 'Shooting Breaks' built over the years by a few companies. The car seen here is a Rolls Royce 'Val d'Isere', coachbuilt by Robert Jankel (aka. Le Marquis). Even though it's not my fault, I feel urged to apologize for that questionable paint job.

:boggled:

It looks good as an Estate, but, that awful color would have to go!

@Antp, I never knew those existed!

Shame about the color indeed, but it looks nice as a wagon
