How about Ford F-Super Duty with chopped chassis as this: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:O%27Hare_-_vehicles_01.JPG

A rather shabby looking 1988 Lotus Excel.

Shame I didn't have my camera.

old VW Golf, used as cabs in the 70's. (In my country)

I found this minibus interesting, based on a Peugeot Boxer:

Remember that thread on the House Moving Tractors with the cabs and fenders stripped?
http://forum.imcdb.org/forum_topic-5795-38448-House_moving_tractors.html#p38448

Well here's another truck currently being prepared to move the last of those houses:

I think it might be a Pacific M-25. I didn't think too many of those were around on the east coast.

Another car I saw twice at the weekly Spring Hill Antique and Custom Car Show is a customized 1949 Chevrolet with a replacement 502 c.i.d. racing engine.

Excuse the quality. It came from a QuickTime video made in my camera.

@ingo: No photo I'm afraid, but today I saw a grey Honda CR-V registered in Wesel. You don't happen to know anyone who drives one, do you?

Sorry, I don't. I even cannot identify a Honda CR-V clearly.

Not a real rare car, the plate neither - but I've seen it in 2002 on Cyprus:

Due the EU-laws about safety and environment, it's impossible to get a registration for such a car here.

Got a lift in two interesting cars yesterday.

First was a Maserati Coupe (Surprisingly spacious as I'm pretty big and was comfortable enough in the back seat).

At the opposite end of the spectrum was a Rover CityRover with a broken passenger seat belt.

Also saw a DB9 Volante this morning and a Gallardo late last night pulling away from the football stadium. No idea which player it belonged to.

I've seen these cars during the last couple of weeks:

An early LHD Rover [SD1], I took a photo of it with my cellphone, first I've ever seen in Norway.

A blue 1977-80 Toyota Cressida, second I've seen in my life, and it was even seen at the same spot that I'd seen the other one before (that was a green wagon though), pity I didn't get a picture of it.

A knackered US spec first generation Lexus ES 250 (never sold in the UK) has taken up residence nearby. I might take photos if I have the chance, and I could even post them to OldJapaneseCar.com and Autoshite.

I saw an early Clio V6 today.

Made a hell of a noise as it went past.

2006 Chevrolet Impala LS :

white on the left, taking a picture with a cell phone while driving does not give a good result. Just after that I missed another similar exotic car, that I did not even recognize (in a tunnel, I did not even try to take a picture)

Nissan Skyline :

I suppose it is a Japanese import.
Now that Belgian plates are at the EU-format, this one had to ask for the "square" plate.
22/01/2011 @ 00:27:53: ingo: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
All the Skyline's I've seen in Europe, were Japanese orgin, incl. RHD and the Japanese-sized plate-holders and -frames.

Was there ever an export-version of it?
22/01/2011 @ 00:42:28: Sandie: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
It was officially imported into the UK in R33 and R34 series.

Not to mention unsafe, but if your forte is multitasking then I guess its okay. Had it been me behind the wheel, I would have lost control and crashed, and still would not have gotten a good photo ...

I do that only in straight lines
