Not particularly interesting to me, though this Nissan Skyline and Lamborghini Gallardo were involved in a rather dangerous race on the M80 southbound:
A few minutes later and this Aston Martin (DBS if I can make out the badge correctly) passed at speed. Now I think of it, the Citroen ZX Estate ahead may have been worth a picture!

Aston is a DB9 by the taillights and rear splitter.

In the United Kingdom it's possible to personalize also the license plate's size?
10/03/2013 @ 05:33:39: dsl: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
The size of the plate can vary as long as it's above the minimum requirement. Some UK prestige makes have had a tradition of large number plate housings at rear, particularly Rover with 1960s 3-Litre and 2000+ Rover 75. Aston Martin are just ripping off the idea. However although plates can be bigger than the minimum, the letters and numbers have to stay constant size.
Some owners of eg US or classic Italian cars use smaller plates similar to original country format, but these are illegal on the road (but perfectly acceptable off road as show plates for display).

Yesterday I'd been to the yearly general meeting of the umbrella organisation of the German classic car club.
When I took this pic (I thought: "hey, something, which was not officially sold in Germany"):
the owner asked me totally irritated "Why the heck are you photgraphing this worthless clunker? It's just my wife's shabby all-day-winter-car"
He's one of the chairmen of

That's indeed an interesting find, I guess he must be aware that his car is not so common around here

Last Thursday I was in Köln, I saw:
A Buick Century in the Music Store
An old Ford parked in the street

Always one oldtimer on technical inspection day. Peugeot 304:

I saw this Mercedes-Benz 300SDL [W126] about a month ago (trust me, that's what the badge says). It caught my eye because I couldn't recall ever seeing a 300SDL before. They were sold 1986-1987 only in North America; Wikipedia pegs production at 13830 units, so I guess kinda rare.

And today, I saw this poor thing at the back of a parking lot in an office park. I know what it is, but I want to see if you recognize it.
From the street, the pop-up headlights made me think Corvette but I'm glad I decided to look closer. It is fiberglass, though.

A Bricklin, just need a little work, that's all
18/03/2013 @ 21:33:40: CougarTim: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
Yep

A Bricklin SV-1, one of 2854 built between 1974 and 1976.

I also recognized it

It was mentioned several times before, the fact, that -different than in the UK- in Germany there are no specific ice-cream-van-conversions exisiting.
This morning I let my wife waiting with the breakfast (Marmite-free, but with British cheddar), because I went out once more, to make this pic, two street ahead:
These later conversions of Bundespost-parcel-delivery-vans are still very common here.
It seems, that the Austrialian Ford Capri (as
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_527489-Ford-Capri-Barchetta-SC.html ) does not exist any more. It was parked on the same car park, but I haven't seen it any more since months.

Today I saw a white SAAB 90. I believe it's the first I've seen and clearly identified as one, instead of going "some SAAB" or "SAAB 900 or 99".
28/03/2013 @ 19:28:29: owlman: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
Nicely preserved 1973 (by the plate) Land Cruiser J40 with child seat in the back
I also saw but did not get a photo of a SAAB 9-7X Aero; supposedly there were only about 600 Aeros (6.0L V8) built.
