HUGE mistake!

You HAVE to list Il Tempo Gigante from the Scandinavian puppet movie Bjergkobing Grand Prix. It was so popular that full scale working model of the car was created. It rocks!

Hi,
But that's not a real car, it was made only for the movie

Yes, that's why it belongs in the "Made-for-Movie" category. Besides, a real car was made over the movie model. Check the link and press "Detaljerne" in the buttom.

Also click "Billeder". The car is 3.4 ton 6.7 meters long and 2.48 meters wide. It is approved for the road. The original had a 250 BHP but when Nicki Lauda saw it, he found and supplied a more suitable 550 BHP.

Is there a picture directly taken from the movie? (since on the site we prefer to use such pictures rather than photos taken outside...)

Go here:

and click: "Filmen"
The movie premiered in Norway in 1975. It has sold 5.5 million tickets in Norway... that has only about 4 million citizens! The film has a lot of, at the time unheard of, on board camera shots that really makes you jump in your seat! At least if you're a kid
You can also find a review with stills from the movie here:

By the way, the main story is a motor race, so Il Tempo Gigante really has a leading role, and is the main reason why the old movie is still so popular.

Thanks, I'll check that later
