The only 607, I remember, is a light green metallic Coupé, which belongs to a neighbour of my mother-in-law.

My wife's uncle is a convinced Citroen-driver. He likes the comfort - and the reliability. Hard to believe, but he said, that he's Citroen-driver since over 30 years (CX, than XM and since last year a C5), and he never had a breakdown. Even the use of a horse-trailer hasn't caused any problems during the years.

My father never had any problem with the '91 XM that he had for 1½ year, but the guy who got the car after him had lots of problems (according to my father, that guy was driving too slowly for such car  )

About the 607, what do you mean by a coupé? :figti:

Btw I saw a silver/light blue 607 today.

Yes, today I saw my first 607, a silver one at a petrol station. If it hadn't been for this thread, I wouldn't have taken any notice.

I've happened to see one today too at the car park next to my building

what is that?

An Opel Insignia, do you like it or not?

Ah, that is the replacement for the Vectra if I am not mistaken? Which probably means we will get a version of that as the second generation Saturn Aura and maybe even as Malibu and G6.

As far as if I like it... I'm not so sure. :ohwell:
This is the same car, right? It looks kind of Malibu-ish in the front.

This view makes it looks ok I guess, but I am not fond of that sweeping body crease on the side. The rear reminds me of a Mercedes.

I don't know, it just seems a little too angular for me.
But at least it has an respectable amount of rear overhang for its size, which is my main issue with newer cars.

Boy, I sure sound like a design critic right now don't I?

My suspicions are confirmed, the US will indeed be getting this car in the next few years, in quite a few different versions too. As quoted from wikipedia:

The Epsilon II will be used in the following vehicles:

2008 Opel Insignia
2009 Saab 9-5
2010 Buick LaCrosse
2011 Saturn Aura
2011 Pontiac G6
2012 Chevy Malibu

Well i quite like it and yes, it is the replacement for the Vectra, rumor had it that they wanted to sell it in USA as Saturn, i dont know how true this is right now :ohwell:

Why don't you take a picture marioman?

@antp: isn't the 607 also available as a Coupé?

Or should I have confused it with a 407?
11/06/2008 @ 17:13:04: antp: European Cars
I guess you confuse with the 407, yes...
12/06/2008 @ 07:36:36: marioman3138: European Cars
I will if I see it again, I looked tonight, but it wasn't parked there. I hope I just wasn't a guy visting...

I too like the 607. Maybe you'd be interested in some of these 607 ads.

If I find one again at 3 € or so, I can buy it and send it to you  Maybe I'll go next week where I found mine, so if I find another one I'll get it.

Unfortunately I did not find a 607 :ohwell: So this will maybe be for a next time, unless you find one on Ebay for a good price.

It's ok I'm in no hurry, thanks for checking though.
Maybe next time
