Not to be a pain, but does anyone like police car art?

If so, this is an example of the artwork I do when I'm not working. This goes out to all the police car fans on the site:

Enjoy!

Snookie, this is great! I like the harmonic combination and the high detailing.

Many people like drawing - but drawing too often doesn't like them equally back... In your case the relation seems balanced. Please keep creating such artworks - and let us know if you have more of them to show.

Thanks. I used many of the screen caps from the site for many of them. i.e. the CHP St. Regis is from 'Colors' and the LTD-S is the Texas Sheriff car from 'The Hitcher'

I did a little police car art in an art class I took last year using silkscreen

Nice job! I assume NYPD due to the style of stripes? Very beautiful! My art teacher used silkscreen. I wonder how a 1980-1985 Impala would look.

Wow! These are great. I wonder how many artists do we have amongst us?

This is a drawing I did on Facebook using the Graffiti application. It's not really any convertible in particular. I like your drawings Snookie, especially the buses lined up with the Chicago skyline in the background.

Excellent pictures guys! It is interesting to see that you are doing such things.
Snookie I also really like the way how you are arranging the drawings! The one with police cars is cool, but my favourite is this where the theme are the subway trains.
Today I do not have time, but as a kid I sketched a lot of cars, unfortunately seems I do not have these drawings any more.
The only one, which I've found is this of "Renault 5 Turbo", drawn at the age of 12 (in 1996) and inspired by the Heller scale model, which I built at this time IIRC.

(Sorry for the quality and rather bad prospect  )

It would be generally interesting to create such topic for our drawings from the childhood.

I have always been very bad in drawing and other kinds of arts. The only thing, I made as a child, was to trace pics of cars on thin, transparent paper and then to create own conversions.
For that I took a picture-book for little children, which I got, when I was 3 years old.
I still own the book (made of thick paper, the pages hold with aluminium-rings). Its name: "Kennst du diese Autos?" (Do you know these cars?)

At first because I kept nearly all of my-childhood-toys and -books and as second for the cars in it, it's worth to keep: Audi 100 Coupé S, Iso Grifo, Ferrari GTB 4 Cabriolet, Ford Capri 1700 GT, Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300 ti, Opel Diplomat, Citroen DS 21, VW Karmann Ghia Cabriolet, Porsche 356 B 1600 Cabriolet, Volkswagen 411 E, Jaguar E Type Coupé, DAF 55 Coupé, Renault 16 TS, BMW 1600 GT, Mercedes 600 Pullmann, Mercedes C 111, NSU RO 80, Rolls Royce Silver Cloud, Fiat Dino Coupé, Audi 80 Variant, Mercedes 600, Fiat 128.
For sure, if I should have children sometimes, they have to learn these cars, too. What a poor and sad childhood would they have, if they had to identify shitboxes like Kia Sephia, Fiat Punto, Ford Ka, Mercedes B-Klasse, Dacia Logan etc....

@waesel: your picture reminds me, that a Renault 5 Turbo had caused a punch-up between me and a school-friend (we'd been around 12 years old).
We played "auto-quartett" in the school-bus, when I saw, that he wants to fool me. He had to give the Renault 5 Turbo-card to me, but tried to be tricky to keep it and wanted to give me something else. Surely I hadn't accepted it

Annother punch-up in that times was caused by the brand new 1983 Ford Sierra, the father of annother school-friend had bought. Me and annother friend found the Sierra so ugly, that we had teased the boy quite heavily, until he started to beat us.

I'm loving that police car drawing Snookie. Great composition. How long did it take you to draw?
19/03/2009 @ 01:29:11: Snookie: Police Car art
Took about a day and a half to draw. Pretty fun when you get into the swing of it. BTW, if there is anyone who knows about the U.S. Treasury, would you favor a 1989 Ford LTD Crown Victoria as an unmarked Treasury car? I'm doing a retro graphic novel set in Chicago in the fall of 1989. It follows two U.S. Treasury Agents trying to nail a counterfeiter (an Homage to 'Live and Die in L.A.' I will try to post the panels on Flickr. I will let you know when it's up.
