Ideas for a 404 / "Not found" page?

For those who haven't noticed that yet, IMCDB does not have a pretty 404 / "page not found" special page like what some other sites do.
Instead, in case of invalid URL, it just says "not found":
http://imcdb.org/fake_page
I was thinking since some time that it could be nice to have a picture taken from a movie which could illustrate that, but which one?
An obvious one would be a Peugeot 404
Another one could be an impressive crash or something like that.
Or maybe combine both? Is there a good Peugeot 404 crash/explosion somewhere on the site? Maybe that for that Adrian will be able to help
Or if you have any other idea/suggestion, it is welcome

yes antp, quite funny...
But the problem is, the site is down for me-for real. But yes, a good idea.

Peugeot 404 crashes:
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_73957-Peugeot-404.html (though the picture is not very good quality shamely, and people might not know what it is from that picture)
Weasel added extra thumbnails for this 404 crash, perhaps one of the thumbnails would be nice to use, the car is better visible.
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_191916-Peugeot-404.html
The following would be funny, very "direct" for some reason having a 404 crash error and this picture makes it look sarcastic i don't know why
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_3364-Peugeot-404-1961.html
A few seconds later i'm sure the caris seen literally crashing, though probabaly because of the fact that there are othe4r cars in the picture it could be confusing.
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_5785-Peugeot-404-1962.html
Not very visible
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_191328-Peugeot-404-1963.html
Look at the thumbnails
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_21865-Peugeot-404-1964.html
Nice one, but might be small
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_41343-Peugeot-404-1964.html
And now i have to go so i'll keep on with it later
Antoine, what's the new small icon next to everybody's nickname?

If there are several good choices, I can still make several error pages and pick one randomly each time
As suggested by Adrian, this one may be good:

"you followed a wrong path, this page is not found"

Yes, I could pick one randomly amongst few each time the page is displayed, that would be the easiest way to solve that It is still open to other suggestions though.

I like this idea! I'd choose CCF's first picture of the Peugeot rolling down the hill.

Indeed, that's great! With these I think we have our 404 images, I'll make the page as soon as I can.
In case we found more good images later, do you still have the original elements to easily integrate them with other pictures?
Maybe compress just a little less the images too, as the red "error" text and the film "ribbon" looks a little blurry due to JPEG.

Thank you guys, that's exactly the kind of approval I miss in my job...
Antoine, perhaps it's the best if I send you an uncompressed version via e-mail so you can modify it regarding technical requirements. Do you think it's better to typeset the "error" text later with html?

I could indeed add the "Error" text by html.
Sure you can send me the files by e-mail, what format are these? If it is psd, I hope they will be useable by Paint Shop Pro 9 (it usually can open psd files, but sometimes not)

The picture of the burning Peugeot 404 is my contribution and as you can see the ratio is slightly wrong. The picture is a bit too "high". Maybe I should try to correct it...

Nice work, Toenz! Although my favourite is CCF's first image link (the one rolling down the slope), it would be good if you could do one for this.

Actually I should try to make a transparent PNG that the server could itself put over one of the pictures taken randomly, it would allow to more easily add new pictures to the random pick list.

I sent the psd-file to the forum's e-mail address. In case it doesn't work with Paint Shop Pro, I made separate uncompressed jpg-files, including Raul's picture with fixed ratio and G-MANN's personal favourite..

Antoine, I reduced the number of layers and sent you a new psd-file. Your intention to create a transparent PNG should be easier with this one.
