1967 - The 1200 engine was substituted by the 1300 and also came the 1500 engine. Also came new bumpers, new tail lights, vents in the engine hood
1973 - Vertical headlights
1974 - The 1500 engine was substituted by the 1600 and was introduced a sporty model, the 1600-S (the super Fuscão)

1979 - Fafá de Belém tail lights (or elephant foot)
1982 - Rubber protectors in the bumpers
1984 - Fusca became the oficial name
1986 - The Fusca stops being manufactured in Brazil
1993 - Presidente Itamar Franco asks Volkswagen to return the Beetle production, now with body colored bumpers and an adhesive stripe in place of chrome trim (
