From what I can tell, the main code is CD539. The letter added after that code indicates which market it is made for. N for North American, X or E for Export, and C for China. So a code of CD539N is a North American model, etc.

The English Wikipedia page has "CD539". If you click on the CD4 Platform page, all four are listed. And then this page, about halfway down, goes into more detail:

There is apparently an alternate code of CD389 used on the model as well.

I guess it depends how detailed we want to be with them. Technically, only the North American models should be listed as "CD539N". If you want to be able to separate each regions models, we should add the letters. Or keep it simple and just use "CD539".

I think the ones marked "CD53N" were a typo that somebody keeps repeating. If you do a search for that code and Ford Edge, it only returns links to our site.

The Chinese ones might be worth keeping a separate code, as they also include the China-only 3-row Edge Plus.
