For all "Daewoo Racer" and "Daewoo Pointer", Origin: Germany and built in South Korea.
Leave the "Made for".

except for those where the origin is South Korea

Why except for these?
11/02/2022 @ 15:28:37: JB007: Mass change model info thread
Because, the second generation is Daewoo origin, the first generation is Opel origin.

I've read the article but as they say it was just a light restyling of the Opel though...
And why exceptions for the Racer but not for the Pointer?

Yet this is what was applied to the Pontiac Leman.

A small request. I see most Toyota FJ Cruisers have a chassis code GSJ15W. That W suffix was only applied to Japan-spec models. So, please change all non-JDM models to GSJ15.

There are a lot of examples like that, that make very little sense. Why do we list the Plymouth Horizon/Dodge Omni as "Origin: France" when the US version has very little to do with the European model (just the body shape), but models from Dacia, Lada and SEAT very rarely get origins of Italy or France? We used to list the early US Ford Escorts as being Euro origin, but the later ones that were based off of Mazda were listed as US-origin. We finally stopped when we realized that the US and Euro models had only the chassis in common. I could point out more inconsistencies.

My comment was rather about the Korean origin of the 1994+ models

I don't recall having the US Escort listed as European origin  Or that was very long time ago (years and years, at the beginning of the site)
Indeed some of the Italian-sourced vehicles probably would need to have their origin changed. On the other hand it feels weird to have the Lada as Italian origin  That's why in the new version we had dual-origin flags, but maybe I should put that in the current site as I don't know if we'll ever have time to finish that new version.
Same for the Horizon/Omni: from what I read in the Wikipedia article it was a work between EU and US (not just the styling), it could also have the dual flags.

Wouldn't it be easier to just use GSJ15 for all models, as a "generic" code?
(like the Jxx codes of the Land Cruiser)

The final letter can have its importance. On J70 Land Cruisers, for instance, there was V or P added to the J75 variants, to make the difference between troop carriers (V) and pickups (P). And contrary to Toyota's usual practice, this was valid on all markets, not just Japan.

IMO the VW Golf VII needs an update: we list it as Typ 5G, but nearly all sources such as the VIN use Typ AU.
https://www.adac.de/rund-ums-fahrzeug/autokatalog/marken-modelle/vw/golf/vii-facelift/
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/VW_Golf_VII

I would even go one step further and give the station wagon its own code, as found in my car:
https://i.ibb.co/c1ZHXxK/gOLFvin.jpg
Typ AUV would affect the Sportsvan as well according to the ADAC.

And I'm not 100% certain, but I think the pre-facelift Variant is even very late MY 2013.

The Typ codes on VW's were never based on VIN numbering, as far as I can recall.
