That's why i did cut parts of it
yesterday morning ( my morning ) had trouble , then the problem came back for about 5 mins in the afternoon ( my afternoon ) . Since the last interruption, works fine

It was slow most of the afternoon here (EDT). Taking about 20-30 seconds for each page to load. The header would load, but the content took time to appear. It's now running fine. I went out about 3 hours ago, and it was slow then. I'd say from about 1-4 EDT.

So Between 19:00 and 22:00 CET, that's indeed one of the "busy" time of the site.
I'm still not sure what cause occasional slowdowns. I hesitate between the old phpbb2 of my own site (running on the same server) that is not very optimized and some robots harvesting pages of the site, or maybe a mix of both.

Well we did have internet issues earlier on the US east coast, but they should have been resolved by that time. Was not having issues at other sites at the time, but most of them were US-based sites, not Euro.

The company hosting then site (OVH) had a major electricity problem with their routers this morning, maybe it was related (emergency power supply didn't work when a power failure occurred)

Is it me or is the site really slow right now? (Early in the morning here, mid/late-morning Euro)

Right now it seems to work and I see nothing special in the processes running on the server.
Pages come a little slower than usual maybe (or it is the wifi on which I am), it may be Google or another search engine crawling the site (or peak in visits), we'll see how it evolves (though that I don't really know what I could do :D)

Just in case, it is normal if the site is slow since a few hours and for the next few hours. I upgraded the phpbb forum of my site (running on the same server as imcdb) and now it is reindexing messages.
