Some of these are quite laughable. The Chevy Citation, obscure? 1.6 million sold, but it's really obscure. wink!

True, night cub

How about more obscure GM's X (FWD) Buick Skylark and Oldsmobile Omega?

I mean, if you want to find an obscure Chevrolet from that era, try the 1978 Chevy Monza S hatchback, only 2,326 were made. I have never seen one in my 50+ years. Basically, when they discontinued the Vega, they added the wagon and hatchback models to the Monza lineup. And while the Wagon sold in better numbers, the hatch didn't and was discontinued after less than a year.

Another relatively rare Chevy was the 1977-1978 Monza Sport Coupe, where they took the Monza Town Coupe body and put the 2+2 front end. It sold a little better at over 6.800.

Even the Citation X-11 outsold that:

I won't be surprised that these body style may be leftover supply from the Vega era
