Don’t know why the image isn’t added to the original post rather than the system creating a new one each time it says the image is too large?

Maybe a bug, the picture attachment on the forum is not the thing that works the best.
But for submitting new pictures, the best way to do it is directly creating the page on the site, no need to use the forum for that.

No the picture attachment should really be resized, if too big.

Think I’ve tried most ways of submission, but unsure if any have worked well.

It is not me who makes the forum, so I can't fix anything on it.
If you need help for submitting entries to the site, I can assist. Which point is blocking you?
Adding a new movie which do not exist yet? Or adding a vehicle to an existing movie?

I understand you didn’t write the code, but amazed photos aren’t resized rather than saying they are too big.

I’m not being blocked as such, just seem to result in multiple posts which then say they can’t be deleted.

Yes, I’ve added new movies and just added cars to existing movies.

I meant for adding things directly on the site rather than posting on the forum

Sorry Idon’t understand what you are asking.

I think one of my posts was just deleted without explanation, if that helps?

On the site, when you are on a movie page, e.g. https://www.imcdb.org/movie_84987-The-Bill.html in this case, do you see a link "Add a vehicle" in the bar above the gallery?
02/12/2024 @ 13:23:35: keef: The Bill
This is what I get when I click on that link. :-

Well that's just the popup you get when you visit the site for the first time, like you get on any site about cookies
I guess that you usually use the site without the www in the address, and so you accepted the cookies on the other domain, i.e. https://imcdb.org/movie_84987-The-Bill.html

Yes use it all the time.

Added another vehicle a short while ago and it appeared as a locked item. No longer showing now.

It was long time ago since I do not find a trace of it in the last 9 months
Maybe it was rejected because too bad quality or missing info about the show for which it was added?
22/12/2024 @ 00:38:02: keef: The Bill
Only a matter of hours ago. The stupid system doesn’t allow anything above a certain size, so I have no idea how the quality could be increased. The image was posted on a current page, so would have already had most of the info. What more could be added? This is why I post on here, rather than use the “add a vehicle” link: as it does not work!

Here it is again.

Appears for a while.

Increasing the size does not increase the quality: if the source is crap, the quality is crap too
Also, I guess it was rejected probably because instead of just posting the capture of the scene you include all what is around it: IMCDb does not need to have the interface of the ipad player  Why didn't you post it with just the picture like you did earlier here above?

The episode format is also not right: we use "xx.yy" for series.episode, not "SxxEyy"

So it’s not worth posting either on here on via the recommended link?

I realise the size does not equate to quality, but if the system rejects an image due to size you have to reduce the quality to meet the system’s requirements.

I believe my first attempts were with a cropped image which didn’t include the interface and required time stamp, but as it isn’t kept, even if only for a short time, how would anyone know?

As it only asks for episode, perhaps it doesn’t need the series at all?
