IMDB info are not always accurate, it would not be the first mistake on their site...

I know, they claim that Stalone is 5'10 - what a laugh.

IMDB info are not always accurate, it would not be the first mistake on their site... Though I am not sure of the car used in Deathrace, by the way

I guess I am just too real car oriented but I see your point and don't disagree.

By the way, IMDB trivia says that all the cars in Death Race 2000 were custom re-bodied VWs. I am a little confused by Cimbra. The ad you referenced indicates that the Cimbra is not a VW chassis but it will accept a VW or V8 engine.

Sorry for putting this in the wrong place. Will be more careful in the future.

By the way, this topic could go in the "Naming conventions" section, I'll move it later

I do not see why for cartoons we should use that. Even if the car is drawn it is still representing the model of the car.
A photo of a car is still the car?
A draw of the car is still the car?
About the Cimbra SS, it is not made for movie, only heavily modified.
The base of that car is a kitcar really sold:

(though I am not sure that the car of the movie is based on that one...)

In the case of the batmobile, since GM was making ads like if they made the car, why not use their name as make? Like the GM car of Demolition Man or other futuristic vehicles.
I am not sure that a search on "made for movie" would be so useful. Or you simply have to do a search on "custom" category to find heavily modified and custom-built cars.

hould be put all movie props, cartoons, customs, etc. that are 'one of a kind' and that were created specifically for a movie in this category. The base make could be included in the model name if known.

Examples: GM Batmobile would become:Make = Made for movie and model would be GM batmobile. Tumbler Batmobile would become: make = made for movie and model would be Tumbler Batmobile. The Cimbra in Death Race 2000 may be another example.

The advantage is that a search for "made for movie" would find all such cars.
