Hmm... Looks like no one likes Lamborghini or Ferrari so far.

I agree, If I had a new Bugatti Veyron I would drive it to a Wal-Mart store just like it was a Honda. Where all the shopping carts will scratch it all to pieces.

Don't misunderstand, I was just saying that even if I had a million dollar super car or a treasured antique I would very likely end up taking it to the grocery store and the pub. Probably silly but there it is. Because that is the way my mind works, I am not equiped to really understand or appreciate why not.

If you have a supercar it's completely up to you what you do with it. If I spent so much money on a car of course I'd want to drive it.

I can agree with what you say but I still can't really appreciate the feeling because I just don't think that way. If I have it, come hell or high water, I gotta drive it.

To me owning fine cars would be like owning great works of art, I'm not just talking about modern supercars, I'm talking about classics as well. I would take care of them and take them out for drives, but I wouldn't use them as everyday cars, I have something more replacable for that. But I wouldn't want have them just to show off, I'd have them because I liked them not because other people liked them. I think most people who own "trailer queens" have them because they love them not just to "brag about it".

Yes, you wouldn't want it to get scratched, but if you were rich enough to have a supercar you should also be able to afford another, less exotic car for everyday use. You're not supposed to treat a supercar like an ordinary car, you wouldn't go shopping in it and you wouldn't park it in a city car park, you'd drive it for fun rather than to go for A to B.
I frankly don't see the attraction for a car you can't drive where and when you want. I am not a fan of trailer queens nor garage kept cars that I would be afraid to drive. Owning something just to be able to brag about it has never appealed to me. I don't mind other folks getting their kicks that way but I simply don't understand it.

I also like the Lotus Carlton (probably a car I'd like in my fantasy car collection!), I like the idea of a Vauxhall that rivals a BMW M5.

I like the supercars that you can use like an ordinary car, like Porsche 911, Audi RS4 and stuff like that Or the Lotus Omega/Carlton: I do not know why but I find nice this kind of "boring looking" supercars, i.e. that have most under the hood rather than a special style.

Well of course they are fantasies, that's part of the appeal. And the thing is to become very rich sometimes it helps to be a prick. No offense intended but when I see SUVs in cities, that word often comes to mind. I think SUVs are "relatively useless". Yes, some Ferraris are driven by pricks (like professional footballers), but I tend to admire the car rather the owner, I always turn my head I see a Ferrari on the road, I've never been happy to see an SUV.
