I'll add that option in a near future

The list view option seems like a good idea to me too. Indeed better than a page split...

Also a Thumbs-up from me... good work Antoine.!

Yes it may be slow, but splitting movie on multiple pages is not a good solution I think Well, I could add an option for that.
I was also thinking to an option to view vehicles as a list rather than thumbnail.
so people with slower connection could hide the thumbnails, or split them on pages.

I think it works very well! Well done Antoine! A good solution.
One remark though, although the site loads faster then before. There are still may images on 1 page. This could lead to slow loading (not with my internet connection) but maybe elsewhere...

I made the change. I applied it to Chips and to New Avengers as they were the only movie pages with more than 200 vehicles:

You can resave them from imageshack
Well, anyway, it requires too much work and does not fit very well to this series. It may be a solution for "Code Quantum" where each episode is set in a different year, but since there are so few cars in that series...
I'll modify the site to use the solution 1 today

as already stated on the CHiPs page ...suggestion 1 sounds best.
...Number three is a NO-GO ..as I no longer have All the smaller pics from earlier episodes (..been deleted to make space on my PC.!)

So we have to decide now... (well, we do not have many choices actually).
We can put three pages, one for 1-star, one for 2-star and one for 3/4/5-star, with all vehicles stored as being for the same "movie", but three pages generated by the site like it does for list of all vehicles of a make.
And use this solution for all series/movies that have more than N cars. I think that it will be the best solution for the moment. I'll try to take time to program that on friday or saturday.
Another solution would be automatically split pages for seasons (i.e. like above but cut on season number rather than on star number). This solution will be nice for series like "24" where each season is not linked with previous one, so all cars are different.
Maybe that for this series we will have to use both solution 1 and 2 in the end...
Last solution was one "movie" for each episode, but it is probably not very good when there are lots of episode. Could be the best if there were few episode, with lots of different cars in each.
For Chips there are cars that appear in lots of episode, sometimes different car but same model, so it is complicated. Or it requires to re-add the vehicle on each episode if they are different. And keep the main common vehicles (that are visible in all episodes) on a separated page (the current page of the series).
So it is either solution 1 (+2 in the future), or solution 3.
"1" requires few changes on the site but can be reused for other series/movies.
"3" requires that I move (by SQL) the car of each episode, and then that stronghold puts back on the site most of the cars that are as thumbnail of existing cars comments, if they are not anymore of the same episode...
"1" is maybe easier actually.

Maybe that for cars shared across the whole series (Kitt, Police cars, ...) we could keep them on the main series page. And only use episode pages for the other cars?
Using pages like for general vehicles listing is an idea too. Currently vehicle listing is splitted in pages of 30 vehicles. We could split on 60 vehicles for movies, for example.
