What, no Tempo???

It looks nice  But the first page looks a little "old" compared to the rest of the site.

One suggestion: on the topics on the forum, you could put links to the models in the first post (i.e. link to the post that contains info of each model) for an easier access to a particular model rather than having to search in the page.

Just wanted to mention the fact that Street-Car has just been completely re-vamped - especially the forum pages.

Please do feel free to let me know what you think of the site, guys. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated:

If you like what you see by all means sign up. We'd love to welcome you onboard.

Just wanted to let you guys no that I have now added a classifieds section to my site. So now anyone who signs up can place an advert for free on the site for any cars, parts etc for sale.

Thanks for finding that conversion! That'll make life easier when I come to start adding the metric measurements.

I have no idea of the history of that unit choice. For the use of 100 km rather than 1, it is probably to have easier numbers, e.g. between 4 for a Prius and 20 for the cars before the petrol crisis of the 70s.

For the conversion, I found this formula:

Thanks for adding the link, and for your comments. I have added a link to IMCDb to the site.

I should have added metric units from day one - that was a bit of an oversight on my part. I will work on adding more metric measures shoon, but this will take some time due to the sheer number of specs on the site.

One question: In Europe I know they use L per 100km to measure fuel economy. What is the conversion between this and mpg? It seems hard to convert seeing as not only are different measues used, but they are completely the opposite way round! Also you do you know why this is the standard and not l/km? I always found the L/100km measure of fuel consumption completely baffling - not least because under this system the lower the figure the better, whereas with mpg the higher the figure the better!

If anyone wants to join the forum it'd be great to have you onboard. Any more feedback would be greatly appreciated also.

Lots of interesting info  Until now I used www.autoweb-france.com but your site seems much more complete for recent models, the few that I saw.

Just one minor drawback: the use of mph, mpg, lb-ft and other imperial units is not easy for me (and for others probably).

Thanks very much! A link to my site in the links section of IMCDb would be very helpful and very much appreciated.

The website (which I am co-administrator for) is called Street-Car.net and is a car-discussion forum site dedicated to all car enthusiasts worldwide. Basically it doesn't matter where you are from or what you drive, you're welcome here. We also have a very comprehensive database of car specifications which is expanding all the time.

At the moment the specs section covers most European and North American market cars sold from 2003-onwards.

Please do check it out here: http://www.street-car.net

Feel free to sign up and post on the forum. Everyone is welcome. It would be great do have you guys as members as you are all very knowledgeable when it comes to cars.

I will of course place a link to IMCDb in Street-Car's own links section.

Thanks again! :sol:

Sure.
You could also put it in your profile (in addition of some info about you) on IMCDB.
If you want, I can also add it to the links page of IMCDB.
