- Manhunter (Michael Mann)
- After Hours (Martin Scorsese)
- Taxi Driver (Martin Sorsese)
- To Live and Die in L.A. (Bill Friedkin)
- almost all John Carpenter's movies
- Repo Man (Alex Cox)
- Two Lane Blacktop (Monte Hellman): this one I saw a couple of days ago, found kind of boring but can't stop thinking about since then - weird
- Robocop (Paul Verhoeven)
- Stakeout (John Badham)
- French Connection (Bill Friedkin)
- Apocalypse Now (F. F. Coppola)
- Dirty Harry (Don Siegel)
- Killer Klowns from Outer Space (the Chiodo brothers)

My best "car" movies :
- The Hitcher (Robert Harmon)
- Two Lane Blacktop (Monte Hellman)
- Vanishing Point (Richard Sarafian)
- Stakeout (John Badham) - the car chase!
- To Live and Die in L.A. (Friedkin) - my favorite car chase of all time

I could not find a topic like this, but why don't we share our favourite titles?

I have seen so many films/tv movies/documentaries/short flicks etc throughout my life that I cannot list them all, only my favourites.

Seeing as though I have waaaaay too many favourite films, I will only list my top twenty - this is not really in any particular order, just twenty varied movies I like to watch the most - which have effected me in some way or that I have enjoyed the most, films which whenever I think about them they always seem to excite me, be it nostalgic or on a comedic or even an intellectual level - ultimately, these are twenty films I will always enjoy and never grow tired of:

Back to the Future
O Brother, where art thou?
Forrest Gump
Christine
Fight Club
American History X
The Shawshank Redemption
Goodfellas
Dogma
Deliverance
First Blood
Lord of the Rings: The fellowship of the Ring
The Blair Witch project
Planet of the Apes
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Dazed and Confused
The Terminator
Total Recall
Pulp Fiction
A Clockwork Orange

Honestly, I have seen too many films and I have too many favourites for one page! :clindoeil: Besides I don't think I really have a "#1" favourite film of all time. One day it's this, that or something else.

For the record, I have seen many horror, thriller and shock movies - especially many unheard-of, cult and foreign titles, but the sickest film I have ever seen (so far) must be Taxidermia - though it's not really a horror film, it is the one film I just cannot ever watch again, I found it to be that gross. :chut:
