I hope the last one is some sort of staging area. The black and white "<>" diamond sign on the right of the first picture represents a bus or high-occupancy-vehicle travel route. This type of sign would not have existed then.
There's that, and the "No Left Turn" symbol sign, not to mention the overhead street-name signs. Have you ever seen that patrick Swayze movie "Three Wishes?" There's another sign goof in that one near a road construction site.

The red slash through symbol regulation signs weren't available in this country until 1971 either.

Those street signs are way too contemporary.
That's just what I was thinking! Anyway that looks SO amazing to be on that set.

This type of sign would not have existed then. There are other vehicles used. A tow truck with actual lettering for a garage in Harrisburg, PA was used in a scene set in rural Missouri with MO plates.

Not to mention the the building in the last picture is much too modern for the 1950s

That's pretty cool! I wish I could visit a movie filming.
P.S. Roadmaster, where are those taxi pictures?

Title: My One And Only
Cast Includes: Rene Zellweger
I belong to a board that discusses its love for the 1959 Buick. One of the members owns a restoration garage and is currently completing work on a 1959 Buick Electra 225 convertible model 4867. He recently answered a casting call for the use of a 1953 Cadillac Eldorado. Two will be used in the film, a nice original from New Mexico, and a car he located in the Annapolis, Maryland area. The car he's bringing will be used for far-away shots of 50 feet or more.
Here is a description of the film and some "before" pictures:

I see some nice cars that are being used, like the Kaiser and the 1941 Buick Estate woodie wagon, as well as a late '30's Packard and about a '53 Patrician, both in black.
