I'd rather wait for you to do it just to make sure it goes along with how you want it. I'll subsequently make the changes to the other vehicles.
Neptune
I guess we change them after I get back, or you or other admin can change them while I’m gone, either way doesn’t matter.
ford_guy
Well you have my support then
Neptune
Indeed, I was thinking it might be more informative and consistent. But wanted other opinions, mostly yours as you keep up more with police vehicles than I .

Wasn't the original argument for using the initials to avoid cramming up the name field?
And antp does have a point, SSV is an official acronym. And I don't personally know anyone who drives an SSV so I couldn't tell you what they are called by officers. I certainly have never driven one. But I've learned that car brochures can be more trustworthy than some cops. I have a good friend whose been on since about '79. He fondly remembers the Malibu 9C1's of the 1980's. Only thing is that although Malibu 9C1's were used by us back in the day, he actually refers to the Caprices
However, if you wish to give them the full name then I'll support you with it. I'll rename the Tahoe and Mustang equivalents too just so there can be consistency.
Although the acronyms are perhaps more well-known than the actual full name, I think it might prove to be more informative to spell it out.
Was that along the lines of your reasoning Neptune?

We can stay with SSV then. I was also wondering what police officers in general refer to them as, but ford_guy hasn’t commented here yet.

On that image they also mention SSV, for me it is OK to keep SSV. But it is up to you: anyway it is you & ford_guy who manage these vehicles

I wanted to propose an evaluation of Ford’s name for the SSV. Their site and literature spell out "Special Service Vehicle" like below.
Should we do the same? I have no problem with SSV, but since I found that Ford spelled out the older UN93 Expeditions 17K Fleet Special Service package, I had wondered if we should be consistent with the current incarnation of SSV.
