"The registration number you entered doesn't exist in our database. Please call 0844 482 1948 if further investigation is required." (www.mycarcheck.com)

"Vehicle details could not be found" (DVLA)

Either the car doesn't exist anymore or at best a fake license plate was used in the film.

To find the current owner you might post a message on the car's imcdb page in hope that the person will eventually see it. http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_3883-Rolls-Royce-Silver-Cloud-III-SHS349C-1965.html Or perhaps by contacting the DVLA, but you won't be able to find out privacy sensitive information online.

Hi all,

I'm a newbie here so please be gentle. I'm looking to locate the above vehicle for my website about the film www.blowupthenandnow.com

Could anyone tell me how I can go about tracing the vehicle's history and/or present whereabouts. Are ther any other databases other than DVLA's?

Please let me know and I will definitely credit you on the website. Alas, I cannot pay :shy:

There is a connection with Jimmy Savile - he either owned it at the time or just before (when it was coloured white, but it got painted black for the film). I'm in the process of trying to contact him about it.

Any info most gratefull received.

Regards,Ian.
