I am looking for a movie. Possibly Australian one. Desperate unemployed inventor decides to get a ransom for the distant controlled bomb installed on a passenger plane, which is in the air. He does, but part of the money is labeled. Labelled money he burns by checking the list of newspapers. His co-defendant fail it cause not get rid of the car, as it instructed, and sold it. Main character goes to jail.
I believe it was 80's or late 70's movie.
