Great work! I don't have time right now (I'm too busy to watch the situation here, I voted FOR that idiot Basescu to GO), but maybe in the futur I will make a R12 chronology in Romania.

1970
August - The first public introduction on "İzmir Fair".
1971
- July 17th - The production started in new Bursa (Renault-Oyak) plant. Two models available: TL [R1170].
1972
- May 26th - The SW 5-door wagon [R1330] official launch. The sale started next day. The standard equipment was comparable with sedan TL (plus side mirrors) until 1982.
- The sidemarkers on front wings cancelled.
1973
- Front indicators with white (instead amber) lenses.
- Powered brakes (by Mastervac).
- The middle exhaust silencer removed.
- Scripts on front fenders cancelled.
- July: luxury TS [R1179] came to sale. Had two-barrel carburator, power brakes, headrestraints, speedometer with 180 km/h scale, tachometer, H4 Cibie headlights, electronic clock, sporting wheelcovers and side slats and optional fog lights.
1974
- Larger silver logo on grille and steering wheel. Older cars had smaller & gold.
- Two tail badges "Renault" and "12-type" now split in one "Renault-12-type".
- Front seat belts.
1975
- C-pillar with new rainwater slats (horizontal on back).
1976
- TL:The silver 'horseshoe' cancelled.
- The wheels painted black, no chrome wheelcovers.
- The horizontal air vents on C-pillars and driver side mirror standard for sedan.
- TS: New modern front & back end look for TS only. New bumpers with horizontal rubber guards. New dashboard. Strange but headrestraints cancelled.
- The interior mirror with day / night postion.
1977
- TL and SW: The new front & back end look, bumpers and dashboard.
- TS: Four spoke steering wheel. Marchal headlights instead Cibie.
1978
- TS: Wheels with new shape, covers in option.
1980
- Amber front indicators' lenses.
1982
- TL and SW ceased.
- TS: New Jaeger instrument cluster.
- The TSW wagon with TS equipment (four-spoke steering wheel, dashboard, side slats), also electric windshield washer (instead foot-powered vacuum), tailgate wiper and washer, reverse lights and two-tone horn.
- The exhaust system with central silencer added.
- New chassis codes. TS [R1779], SW [R1337].
- Metallic paints in option.
1983
- The 1289 cc. engine replaced by 1397 cc. The codes changes to R1339 (wagon).
- Black wipers, exterior handles and plastic side mirror for all cars.
- The luxury GTS [R1179] introduction. The optional air conditioning system and front power windows available for sedan and wagon.
1984
- Tail badges for TS / GTS / TSW with '1400' label added.
- November: The introduction of TX [R1179] replacing TS / GTS for 1985 MY. Standard four cirular H4 headlights, headrestraints and bumpers with full-length rubber strips. "TX" script on grille.
1985
- TSW: The wagon got large part of TX equipment (front seats with headrestraints, wheels, steering wheel and gear knob).
1986
- TSW: four circular H4 headlights.
1987
- Fabric covered seats.
1988
- Tinner side slats.
1989
- TX and TSW ceased.
- February: The 'Toros' sedan [R1179] and 'Toros SW' wagon [R1339] introduction. Available with 4- and 5-speed gearbox as '4 Vites' and '5 Vites'. The plastic deep bumpers, tail (side & bootlid) spoiler, four headlights and black grille in all cars.
Poverty '4 Vites' had painted door rims, no side slats, dashboard without tachometer.
Luxury '5 Vites' had covered black door rims, side protection slats, long side silver stickers, tachometer, different wheelcovers and '5 Vites' badges on front fenders.
1990
- The front interia-reel seatbelts.
1991
- 5-speed gearbox became standard.
- Uncovered color-keyed door rims and long side stickers for all cars.
1992
- Ammeter cancelled.
1993
- Dashboard with new 'Renault' logo.
1995
- New chassis codes for sedan [L179] and wagon [K179].
1996
- The rear seatbelts.
- The tachometer cancelled.
1997
- The satin black roof racks instead silver nickled.
- The silver slat in windshield sealing cancelled.
- '5 Vites' badges on fenders cancelled.
- No ashtrays in rear side doors.
- The protection plate for gas tank cancelled.
1999
- The wagon: Right badge on tailgaite cancelled.
- Windows with tinted glass.
Production ceased in 2000.
