Yes, when it works well an update is not always needed each time a new version arrives

Thanks - probably going to stay with 2.05 for the moment as it works happily and I prefer a quiet life, and just wait until 2.07 emerges.

Best remove completely and try a fresh install of 2.06, always better than update upon update.

Anyone else having problems with the latest VLC update (2.06) crashing, especially when changing speed or freezing for captures? Have reverted to 2.05 which works fine.
