Basically they're lawnmowers?

Depending of the tool you'll put on it, your lawn would have a slightly strange appearance after using this type of machines

Small ones are known as "powered rotary tillers", "rotovators" or "garden cultivators". The biggest are called "two-wheel tractors"(1). So:
they can't be driven on thier own they have to be attached to a trailer
so technically perhpas not real vehicles ?? :ddr555:

is not so far from the exact opposite of reality, as they don't need a trailor, and are self-propelled. :boidleau:

They are still used all around the world, as low-cost tractors.
______________

(1) Wikipedia (about two-wheel tractors) : Two-wheel tractor or walking tractor are generic terms understood in the USA and in parts of Europe to represent a single-axle tractor, which is a tractor with one axle, self-powered and self-propelled, which can pull and power various farm implements such as a trailer, cultivator or harrow, a plough, or various seeders and harvesters.
