"As with the other Corvettes recovered, the plan is still to have General Motors rebuild the car, though with this much damage, it’s anyone’s guess as to how many original parts can be saved."

And while GM is pledging to rebuild the damaged Corvettes, Chrysler is destroying 93 pre-production Vipers that were donated to trade schools for educational purposes. Apparently two of them were driven on the road and crashed, lawsuits followed, and now Chrysler is getting rid of all of them,, including #004, and a rare pre-production coupe prototype. Boo!!

The article says there were 44 models built, used for tests & crash, none sold. One remaining.

There was no 1983 Corvette. The last of the C3 models was 1982, and the C4 started with the 1984 model year.
