They were yet somewhat less "pedestrian killers" than the mascot on the Hispano-Suiza vehicles

New for me, a comment about "made for D" Jaguars:
It's written there, that the "Leaping Cat", placed on a lot of Jaguar-types of the 50ies and 60ies, was not allowed by the TÜV for safety-reasons. So every "made for D"-Jag back then got a badge instead.
