This was an anime series that ran for 4 episodes between 2005 and 2006 and had some really detailed cars - link is below.
(in order of appearance, I put a ? for not sure if freelance design or supposed to be the car)
All episodes here:

Episode 1:
-1995 Chevrolet Astro *
- unknown kei car, unusual as the series is set in the US (?) * (there are a few other kei-cars too)
- JDM-looking SUV (?) *
-Freightliner M2 (?) *
- Lexus SC430 (?) *
- Citroen HY * (although a bit crude and background, it's still clearly a HY)
- Chrysler PT Cruiser *
-Ford Aerostar (?) *
- Ferrari Enzo (?) *
- Ssangyong Chairman (?) *
- Mitsubishi Lancer Evo *
- Mercedes W220/Ssangyong Chairman **
- 1994+ Dodge Ram Van *
- 1982-89 Trans Am with an 82-92 Camaro rear end **
- unknown blue truck that is definitely based off something real and looks very Chinese **
- strange red car that looks real behind the truck, too background to list. *
- Ford Crown Victoria taxi *
- possible 1993-03 Chevrolet Camaro * (?)
- Bug * (with export bumpers, like the one Herbie has)
- unknown white hatchback that resembles a Fiat Cinquecento and looks real, * (?)
- first generation-Honda CR-V *
- unknown 1970s luxury coupe, probably a Lincoln (?) *
- blue Peterbilt, you can even see the logo (here a gray oval) on the cowl! **
Episode 2 - no realistic-looking vehicles.
Episode 3:
- Scania "Longnose" (?) Too background anyways. *
- Humvee **
- Humvee with tarp (what's it called?) (?) *
- car ad in the subway, too background *
Episode 4:
- Cadillac STS/CTS/V (although it's horribly proportioned) *
- Mercedes Viano (obstructed by pedestrians, so not worth listing, but clearly a Viano) *
- Mercedes (don't know which, its DRLs are on full blast, I would list it as just Mercedes without a model) *
- Saab 9-3, 2nd generation (?) *
- Mini R50 (with such a huge grille it looks like a Daihatsu Mira Gino) *
- unknown truck that looks real *
- unknown gray minivan that looks to be real * (?)
- another blue Peterbilt like in episode 1 (wrecked shortly after, its color changes to green then) *
- another Astro, but this one looks to be 1985-94. *
- scorched van that is never seen well and looks to be a Japan-only model. * (?)
- wrecked transit bus (?)
- Humvee from episode 3 **
- APC (?) *
- red coupe * (?)
- boxy van, possibly another Japan-only model * (?)
- Chevrolet Astro (clearly the SWB version, with the classic Hotwheels "sawblade" alloys) *
- van with retro-styling, Japan-only model? (?) *
- Toyota Crown taxi (?) *
- Jaguar XJ220 (?) *
- first generation Mazda MPV *
- another red coupe, unsure if real or not *
- Dodge Ram CrewCab (?) *
