Thanks night_cub. What would be a good frame of reference to tell if a picture is too dark? I'm getting better at eliminating the background vehicles. If it's too far away, I don't add it. I'll keep working on the replacements. Usually, I only try to change the main photo if I can't replicate the original shot. However, I'll try to get them as close to the original as possible.

I have noticed that you have made improvements in a lot of your submissions, so we know that you are trying to improve. But there are still issues with some of the replacement pics you submit. Sometimes the pic you add is not is the same placement as the original, sometimes there are not as clear, or there is something else in the shot. You've gotten better at these replacement pics, but we're still finding one or two that have to be rejected. Another issue is that some of the new pics you add are too background, they car is either too small or too far back in the pic or is from a shot that is only visible by going frame-by-frame. Be a little more particular when submitting background cars.

One other issue, that is not just with you but with a lot of posters, is that dark scenes are too dark and I have to save and lighten them myself and re-submit just so we can see the subject car. Part of it is that directors and lighting people are making scenes really dark recently. I think the other issue is that capture programs can not fully capture the lighting in dark scenes, so captures come out darker than what they show.

I have noticed your ID's are a lot better than they used to be. I haven't come across too many issues there recently. So thank you for that. I think you have realized that you do not need to ID everything yourself and that it is sometimes better to submit "unknowns" instead.

So I just wanted to respond to give you an idea as to what we are looking at when validating.

I hate to bump this again, but any update?

Any update antp?

I can get better with my identifications

If it is the case, I suppose that other admins will then reconsider

So antp, any chance the other admins could reconsider making me an admin? I can promise I can get better with my identifications. I really would like to contribute more to the site for being a veteran of 10+ years.
Terra2
That's alright. Thanks for implementing that new feature. Makes it a lot easier for me now

According to other admins, the reliability of identifications is not good enough for being admin, sorry :ohwell:
As upgrade of movies is much easier now that some users (including you) can directly submit new pictures as replacements rather than posting in comments, being admin for upgrading movies is less needed.
