Car from "Passage to Marseille" with Humphrey Bogart still exist
Published 12/02/2007 @ 11:16:37, By Makai
Hi,

I want to inform you that the 1934 Vauxhall Big Six from the movie "Passage to Marseille" with Humphrey Bogart and the movie "Cloak and Dagger" with Gary Cooper is in exist!

It´s a 27 h.p. 2 Seater Drophead Coupe by "Martin Walter Ltd." (Coachbuilder). The car was bought in 1935 from Warner Bros. and shipped to Los Angeles. The Vauxhall Owners Club told us, that this car is the only Big Six Romney Drophead Coupé who survived. (Only a few were build)

The car came back to europe in the early 90s and is now in germany since 1995. Since that time we restore the car carefully. Before we found this site, the only information was, that the car was a "Movie Car" in Hollywood.

It is amazing, that Humphrey Bogart drove our car. Thanks for that great information!

It would be very interesting for us in which other movies this car was also used. Who can help ?

The description can be updated to: 1934 Vauxhall Big Six 27 h.p. 2 Seater Romney Drophead Coupé by Martin Walter

Kind regards,
Axel
