GM's Pontiac division may come to an end.
What's worse is that more divisions of GM may go out of business also.

All they need is Chevy and Cadillac. All the others are redundant.
Look at the article, 11% of GM's 18% market share is Chevy... Saab, Pontiac, Hummer, and Saturn together only make 3%!
Kill them all GM, it's for your own good...

The argument against killing Buick is always that they sell well in China. But they do that just because of the name, there's nothing special about the cars. So just limit Buick to China and rebadge Holdens and Cadillacs, like they're doing now. (Holden's not in danger, is it?)
I like(d) Pontiac because they at least claim to make performance cars. They were just starting to actually do it, too!
What will the fast cars be when (if) they start making them again?
I blame everyone who didn't like the new GTO, that was a fabulous car.
(...although part of that is that no one liked them, so they're really cheap :D)

It would be a wonder, if only Pontiac will have its end. If I understand the news correctly, there is a big possibility, that the whole GM-company can collapsing and only single brands, which could escape before the "big bang" (like Opel/Vauxhall is trying it) have a change for survival.

I'd hate to think that all of GM would go out of business.

Maybe one day in the future (if GM plays its cards right and is in better financial condition) GM might bring back the Pontiac brand. I’m sure they will still keep the rights to the company.

Are they killing off Saturn? I don't understand why they'd kill off Pontiac but keep an utterly worthless and dull brand like Saturn. Saturn is a brand with no image, no history and not an ounce of class.

I just hope they keep the G8, maybe badgeing it as a Lumina or Caprice like in the Middle East.
