Wow! must have been a great day that! love that '59 Cadillac! So you still see classics in everyday use in the U.S.?
It seems to me that as soon as you cross the border (like most Canadians, I live right next to it), the average age of cars on the road jumps 10 years. Here I very very rarely see anything from even the late-70s being used as a daily driver*, but just inside Washington boarder I see 40 and 50 year old trucks still being used as work vehicles and giant 70s land yachts with peeling vinyl tops still wheezing along.
Nothing pre-war though.
*I do see older vehicles, but they're all restored/collector types that only come out on sunny summer days.
