Our local Ford-Dealer
http://www.autohaus-boewing.de/
has put an advertise in the local newspaper for the new offer "Since now you can order American Ford-cars, too!"
The ad was decorated with an orange 2009 Mustang. It took 40 years after the founding of this dealership, that you could buy US-Fords.
As I've heard, that, if you want to buy an US-Ford here in Germany, you had to order them at a few very big dealers in bigger towns.
Similar to the Opel-dealers, when you want to get an American GM-car. The biggest dealers are having logos of the US-brands on their houses or homepages, but usually no US-cars in their showroom. An old-school-friend, who is a salesman there:

has told me, that US-cars are obstructing the showroom. One Cadillac stood 4 years, until they could sell it.
