These photos bring back memories of going to Rome a couple of years ago. I gave up taking photos of Fiat 500s (the original kind) because there were so many.
Incidentally, the Piaggio Porter is actually based on the Daihatsu Hijet. The tiny minibuses in Rome are electric Tecnobus Gullivers.
On holiday in Italy back in the 1990s I once saw a car transporter loaded with Panda vans for SIP (the old name of what is now Telecom Italia). I also remember seeing old lorries (probably Fiats and OMs) in the Alps, which were right hand drive so that drivers could see how close they were to the edges of narrow mountain roads.
