As an owner of one of these cars I logged on to this site to see if it had appeared in any films etc I did not know about. The only reference I found was to an edition of "Top Gear" recorded last year, where it was listed as a "Type 76". This is,of course, incorrect; the Excel was a "Type 89". Moreover, its greatest claim to screen fame (to my knowledge)was in the 1980s TV drama "Howards Way", where if appeared several times in series 5 & 6. (Hope this is of help)!
