The 84th Academy Awards ceremony, hosted by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), will honor the best films of 2011. The ceremony will take place on February 26, 2012, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California.

The nominees for Best Picture are:

2.- The Descendants, not listed on the site.
3.- Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, not listed on the site.

7.- Moneyball, not listed on the site

Of course, it may also do with the viewing preferences of our users- the list is mostly made up films of that didn't get very widespread releases or a great deal of attention outside of the critics. I would love to be the one to do The Artist though, that movie had a lot of neat vintage cars.
