Translation of the display:

"Totally 21 LHD RS 1600 BDA were made by Ford as regular street-cars. An unknown amount of company-rallye-cars was made with a bodywork by the company Gomm, of those maximal 10 cars still exit today. This RS 1600 is an original car of those (= the company-rallye-cars) and was driven in 1973 by Chris Sclater at the Rallye Monte Carlo.

Racing operations of the 1600 BDA (I think the term "des" means here "the" for the BDA-series and not "this" for this specific car) were et al. the RAC-Rallye England 1972 with Hannu Mikkola and the winning of the British Rallye Trophy by Bill Coleman.

This car is in the "Embassy Racing Design".

The car belongs to that club: http://www.escort1.de/ (their homepage looks outdated. The last guestbook-comment is from 2007 and the gallery from the 90ies, the newest pics from 2001)

Also not really trustworthy for me was, that the other Rallye-Escort MkI was a fake, the MkII, too. For that reason I even didn't made pics. I generally ignore fakes, no matter, what ones.
