German models of 1960+ Typ 2 / T1 & T2 double cab pickups are for now set in the IMCDb with Pritschenwagen as model name and with Doppelkabine as complement. But their accurate German sales name was most of the time Doppelkabine, without any reference to Pritschenwagen.
More precisely, if both denomination were apparently used at first:
• VW Pritschenwagen mit Doppelkabine:
1960, 1961, 1962
• VW Doppelkabine only:
1960
only VW Doppelkabine appears in the 1963+ documents: 1963, 1966, 1969, 1971, 1979 (pdf)...
Shouldn't we use VW Doppelkabine for all models, instead of the other sales name that was only (and seemingly not exclusively) used for 3 years only?
I'm aware that really few vehicles are concerned for now (8, including an Israeli pickup which got the Doppelkabine complement by mistake, I think), so I'll change them manually if needed. But there is certainly other ones identified as "Pritschenwagen" only, so keeping track of the way we decide to identify them sounds like a good idea to me
