Yeah, looks like a fun little thing.. one of my neighbors had 2, a black and a green , has well as some other cars, including a 1946 Chrysler but he moved some years before i got my camera .... 
I think ( not sure ) the door handles are more depending on the trim level than the years . A way to know them is the tailights

Front turn signal is also changing from amber ( 1986-1987 ) to clear ( 1988-1989 )
Not sure, but i think the hatchback one ( my favorite ) does escape from that rule ...
