The 1.5 engine (as seen on the photo) was available between 1970 and 1975, and taillights match with the mid 1970s model, about 1974 or 1975.

Volkswagen began make the Beetle here in 1957, the engine was the 1200
1960 - Turn signals in the fenders
1961 - New tail lights

1967 - The 1200 engine was substituted by the 1300 and also came the 1500 engine. Also came new bumpers, new tail lights, vents in the engine hood
1973 - Vertical headlights

Three additions:
1970 - 5-lug wheels (with square air vents); modern bumpers without overriders.
1974 - banana vents behid rear side windows.
