The ones that are left are either those whom I'm not sure what to keep or those that i think it's better to keep separately.

Note that for movies you don't have to regroup non-background cars if they are obviously different ones (i.e. different colors).
For series, it depends on the case, if there are not too many cars it is ok to have some non-regrouped ones if they have non-background roles and are different visually.
